The Sixers got their season started on the right (wrong?) foot tonight with an impressive win over the Heat in their season opener at the Wells Fargo Center.
Evan Turner scored 25 and Spencer Hawes contributed 24, but the real hero of the night was Michael Carter-Williams. In his NBA debut, the 6’6 rookie finished one steal shy of a triple-double, finishing the night with 22 points, 12 assists and 9 steals. He set a record for the most steals by a player in an NBA debut.
The Heat, who were without Dwayne Wade were led by Lebron James’ 25 points.
