Its the Spurs! (minus Tim Duncan)

Tonight, the San Antonio Spurs make their first and only appearance of the season at the Wells Fargo Center. The defending Western Conference Champions are 6-1 and looking to take down former assistant Brett Brown’s Sixers.

The Sixers are coming off a double overtime loss to the Cavs. Tonight’s marquee matchup involves Sixers rookie PG Michael Carter-Williams vs. the Spurs Tony Parker, who until his injury last season looked like the league MVP.

I really can’t envision a scenario that doesn’t involve the Spurs surgically dismantling this team tonight, but who knows. The Sixers weren’t supposed to beat the Heat, Wizards or Bulls.

The Lineups:

Spurs (6-1)
PG Tony Parker
SG Danny Green
SF Kawhi Leonard
PF Boris Diaw
C Tiago Splitter

Sixers (4-3)
PG Michael Carter-Williams
SG James Anderson
SF Evan Turner
PF Thaddeus Young
C Spencer Hawes

Update: Tim Duncan will not play tonight.
