Tony Wroten, Jr. put up a triple-double for the Sixers tonight while starting for the first time this season in place of the injured Michael Carter-Williams. The Sixers’ sixth man dropped 18 on the Rockets to go along with 10 boards and 11 assists.

Equally as impressive tonight was James Anderson, who scored a career-high 36 against his former team. The Sixers held a lead going into the half, fell behind by as many as nine, and tied the game to send it to overtime, where Spencer Hawes scored the go-ahead basket with 34 seconds left.

The Sixers overcame a building-record nine three pointers made by Jeremy Lin, who started in place of James Harden (who doesn’t like to play D)

Dwight Howard added 23 and 15 for the Rockets who fell to 5-4 on the season. The Sixers are now a surprising 5-4 which puts them on pace to be the Bucks. Think about this, this team is fun to watch but can they really win in the future without a star? A real star, I know I made a supposition about Tony Parker and Michael Carter-Williams, but Tony Parker played with two real stars for his entire career. Who wins any other way? I don’t enjoy losing, but I also don’t want the team to add Carmelo Anthony in the off-season and hope he meshes with young players.
