Sixers Win In OT

The Sixers overcame a late deficit to defeat the Bucks 115-107. When they win they sure as hell are exciting.

Liberty Ballers posted a great rundown of last nights college action which highlighted picks 1, 2, and 3 in the 2014 NBA Draft: Andrew Wiggins, Julius Randle and Jabari Parker. Good read. [Liberty Ballers]

Dwight Howard Brings His Dimension To Town

The Houston Rockets are in town, and they are huge. They start three players over 6’9, including the NBA’s favorite funny man Dwight Howard. The Rockets are currently leading the league in rebounding, and Howard, happy to be free of bigger stars on his team is thriving so far this season. He’s annoying, and pretty one dimensional, but the Rockets are a better team than the Sixers. By the way, did anyone see Andrew Wiggins last night?

The Starters:
Rockets (5-3)
PG Patrick Beverley
SG James Harden Jeremy Lin
SF Chandler Parsons
PF Dwight Howard
C Omer Asik

Sixers (4-4)
PG Michael Carter-Williams Tony Wroten, Jr.
SG James Anderson
SF Evan Turner
PF Thaddeus Young
C Spencer Hawes

Sixers Sign Brandon Davies

SBNation is reporting that the Sixers have signed 6’9 forward Brandon Davies.

Davies, who played his college ball at BYU, made headlines two years ago when he was kicked off the team for a violation of the school’s honor code, but was later reinstated.

He went undrafted and was signed by the Clippers with whom he spent training camp.
