Michael Carter-Williams Named Rookie of Month
MCW was voted the Eastern Conference’s Rookie of the Month for November today. He led all rookies in scoring with 17.6 ppg, assists with 7.3 and steals at 2.9. He is the first Sixer since Allen Iverson in 1996 to win Rookie of the Month Honors (I know, what about Willie Green or Alvin Jones you ask!). Iverson went on to win the NBA Rookie of the Year Award after the season and so far Carter-Williams seems destined to follow in his footsteps.
The King’s Ben McLemore won the Western Conference’s ROM award.
We’re Back, and so are the Magic
Ok, so its been a while, but tonight the Sixers, mired in a four game losing streak take on the Orlando Magic, who are pretty evenly matched with our Sixers.
In the past two weeks things have happened. Spencer Hawes has been hurt. Kendall Marshall, who was once a lottery pick is now with the 87ers. Andrew Wiggins has played poorly, Jabari Parker has been a beast and the Sixers have started traveling down the most common-sense path for the organization. Happy trails Sixers, who are now the seventh-worst team in the NBA.

Been a few days since posts have gone up. No one really cares any way, but, there will be posts coming much more frequently starting today. Jabari Parker too.
Sixers Win In OT
The Sixers overcame a late deficit to defeat the Bucks 115-107. When they win they sure as hell are exciting.
Sixers-Bucks
The Sixers are officially on a losing streak, and the Bucks want to extend it. They represent to Sixers fans what a pretty ordinary team that makes the playoffs every year, but really can’t improve is. The Bucks are why NBA teams tank. They are purgatory, not in it, they represent it. They compete for the eighth seed year in and year out, they get a mid-round pick and a mostly empty arena as a reward. No one wants to be them, ever.
Thaddeus Young will miss his second straight game. The Sixers also have released Darius Miles and Kwame Brown.

Raptors Beat Sixers 108-98
The Raptors took over first place in the Atlantic Divison. The loss is the fourth straight for the Sixers who now sit at 5-8 for the year.
Spencer Hawes went for 28 and 10, while DeMar DeRozen scored 33 for Toronto.
The Bucks come to town on Friday.
Sixers-Raptors
Tonight at the Wells Fargo Center, the Toronto Raptors attempt to take first place from the Sixers (read that again). Though the Raptors have lost two straight, the Sixers have lost three straight, so they are in worse shape I guess. Both teams are no good, and the Atlantic Division is pretty bad right now as a whole. As of right now, it looks like Michael Carter-Williams will play tonight, which is a plus for the Sixers, as it puts Tony Wroten back in the sixth man slot he is much better suited for.

The Raptors are favored by three in the game, and the over/under on the number of Jonas Brothers references Malik Rose makes during the game referring to the Raptors’ Jonas Valanciunas is four.
Sixers Drop Third Straight
The Sixers lost to the Mavs tonight 97-94. Monta Ellis got to the basket whenever he wanted, Shawn Marion can still dunk and Evan Turner lost his shit at a critical time, getting hit with a technical foul late in the fourth quarter.
The Sixers led up until the end of the third quarter, before the Mavs’ onslaught of turnovers…I’m not really sure how they lost actually. The Mavs shot better, but turned the ball over constantly. Turner led the Sixers with 24.
The Mavs got 24 from Monta Ellis who scored 19 in the second half. Shawn Marion and Dirk Nowitzki chipped in 20 each to keep Mark Cuban happy.
The loss drops the Sixers to 5-7 on the season. The highlight of the night, for me, was watching Sammy Dalembert swat a Spencer Hawes shot. It was an allegory for mediocre center play. Also, does anyone else absolutely hate Vince Carter?
Tonight: The Mavs
The Sixers are in Dallas for the last game of a three-game road jaunt, fresh off an absolute drubbing at the hands of the Pelicans. The end of this road trip also means that tonight should be the last game without rookie PG Michael Carter-Williams. The Mavs have been playing well lately, despite starting Sammy Dalembert, and the Sixers have struggled on this short trip going 0-2. If the last two games were any indication, James Anderson and Tony Wroten are not the answer, or maybe they are….to you know, losing.
